Alzheimer's Association

Our commitment to the Alzheimer's Association is deeply personal. Our salon owner proudly serves as the lead of the Community Engagement Committee helping to organize the community's annual Akron's Walk to End Alzheimer's, raising awareness, increasing global research, heightening risk reduction and early detection, and offering critical support to families affected by the disease. Every October, we walk as a team in honor of all our salon guests who have be affected by the disease as well as leading the Caregivers Corner on walk day, providing self care bags and chair massage to all alzheimer's caregivers.

Miss Wheelchair USA

The team at MC is honored to serve as the official beauty partner for Miss Wheelchair USA. The organization provides a national platform for women with disabilities to exhibit their own kind of glamour, while informing the viewers of the many challenges peoples with physical disabilities face and shepherding change through innovation, entrepreneurship, and legislation change. The team at MC is proud to volunteer our time and expertise to provide complimentary hair and makeup services for contestants as they compete, celebrating confidence, empowerment, and achievement.

Supporting Local Artists

Creativity extends beyond the salon chair. Through an initiative curated by local artist and curator Micah Kraus, we feature rotating artwork from talented local artists throughout our salon. Every piece is available for purchase, and 100% of each sale goes directly to the artist, helping support and grow our local creative community.

MC Philanthropy

Giving back to our community is a large part of the foundation of our business. Some of the many additional organizations we donate to include:

Northeast Ohio Buddy Walk - Celebrating individuals with Down syndrome and supports the Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio

Breakthrough T1D - Accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes and its complications, while striving to make everyday life better for everyone affected by the condition.

The Tarry House - Providing services to adult men and women residing in Summit County who have severe mental illness, providing the best services possible to prepare people for an independent and quality life in the community.

Axess Pointe - Providing quality, affordable, and compassionate healthcare to medically underserved communities, while improving access to said care, addressing social determinants of health, and empowering communities across the region.
